A faithful digital adaptation of the classic Parker Brothers board game Monopoly, developed by Westwood Studios for the SNES, allowing players to buy, rent, and trade properties across a virtual board in single-player or multiplayer modes. The game features AI opponents with adjustable difficulty, automated dice-rolling and turn resolution, and the core mechanic of acquiring monopolies to generate income while bankrupting rivals through strategic negotiation and property management. Released in 1991 as one of the earliest console versions of the property-trading franchise, it brought the tabletop experience to home consoles with computer-controlled players to reduce gameplay time. While not graphically ambitious, it remains a straightforward and functional Monopoly experience that preserves the economic strategy and negotiation elements of the board game in an interactive format.
