About Vidsmark
Vidsmark is a marketplace built for one thing: buying and selling video games. Not phones, not furniture, not random junk — just games, consoles, accessories, arcade gear, and collectibles, traded between people who actually care about them.
We started in Greater Sudbury, Ontario because that's home, and because selling a game collection locally usually means one of two bad options: dump it at a trade-in shop for 30–60% of what it's worth, or post on a general classifieds site and hope the buyer isn't a scammer. We thought collectors deserved better than that.
What makes us different
Escrow on every protected sale
When you buy through Vidsmark's protected checkout, we hold the payment and only release it to the seller after you confirm the item arrived as described. The seller can't disappear with your money, and you're not sending an e-Transfer into the void. This is the part no general classifieds site offers — and it's the whole reason Vidsmark exists.
And escrow cuts both ways: Vidsmark is built to be safe for buyers and sellers. Sellers aren't at the mercy of a bad-faith buyer either — releases are tied to real proof of delivery, disputes are evidence-based and mediated, and buyers build a reputation too.
Keep more of what you earn
Listing is free. On protected sales the seller pays an 8% fee, and the buyer's 2% protection fee is waived during launch — buyers pay nothing extra. Well below what eBay charges by the time their fees stack up. Trade-in shops pay you a fraction of value; here you sell at a fair price to a real buyer and keep the rest.
Built for collectors
CIB, loose, sealed, tested, region, variant — the details that matter to collectors are first-class on Vidsmark, not buried in a free-text description. Honest grading is the rule, not a nice-to-have.
A free local lane, too
Prefer to meet up and pay cash or Interac e-Transfer on pickup? You can. Local pickup sales are completely free. Just know the trade-off: local cash/e-Transfer deals are not covered by Vidsmark escrow — that protection only applies to checkout payments we hold and release.
