Guitar Hero: On Tour is a rhythm action game developed by Vicarious Visions that brings the acclaimed Guitar Hero franchise to the Nintendo DS handheld platform. The game features a proprietary grip accessory that attaches to the DS and replicates guitar fretboard gameplay, with players hitting color-coded notes in time to a licensed soundtrack spanning multiple rock genres. Released in 2008 as the first full Guitar Hero experience on a portable system, On Tour includes both a career mode and competitive multiplayer, establishing a template for portable rhythm gaming on Nintendo hardware.
